Idag är det första dagen för golfproffset Chris Sahlström i Olympiahallen.
Chris väljer att förlägga sin vinterträning i hallen, en hall som ebjuder Indoor golfträning i vår golfstudio med senaste Trackmansimulatorer och en puttinglounge samt ett fullgott gym att träna i. Han välkomnas också att använda våra trevliga mötesplatser i cafeterian och vår lounge, för att jobba i eller att träffa trevliga människor. Han kommer också att träna tillsammans med och inspirera våra duktiga golfelever från Filborna Golfgymnasium, till vilket vi skapat en golfrange med 6 utslagsplatser.
Vi önskar Chris varmt välkommen till hallen och önskar honom all lycka till i sin fortsatta golfkarriär.
IN CHRIS OWN WORDS ABOUT HIMSELF
I was born in 1993 in Sollentuna outside Stockholm, Sweden.My name is Christopher Sahlström, professional golfer and member of the PGA.
I started playing when I was 10 years old after my dad took me out on the golf course and wanted some company.
I studied economics while attending the golf program at Upplands-Bro, Kungsängen. After three years, I moved south to Halmstad to attend the Scandinavian School of Golf, but only stayed there for 4 months, as I realized this was not the right path for me. I felt I needed to practice and play more golf than what the school
curriculum allowed.
My goal is to be among the best in the world and play on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. To represent Europe in the RyderCup has been a goal since the first time I saw it on TV. I feel I’ve had a steady upward trajectory in my golf development and I’m very pleased with the 2019 season where I won multiple times, gained full rights on the European Challenge Tour 2020 and finished as winner of the Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit and Runner up in the Nordic Golf League Order of Merit.I know hard work pays off.
Last year I practiced nearly 2000 hours and played and played 4344 holes. I’m hopeful and optimistic about 2020 and look forward
